شوف بالن یا هيترمنتل یکی از تجهیزات آزمایشگاهی است که بمنظور حرارت دادن ظروف ، بعنوان ابزار جایگزین یا شکل های دیگری از حمام حرارتی ، استفاده میشود . در مقایسه با دیگر وسایل حرارتی ظروف شیشه ای را میشود در تماس مستقیم باشوف بالن بدون خطر شکستن شیشه آلات قرار داد ،

آزمایشات مختلف نیاز به دمای بالا دارند تا ضمن جلوگیری از طولانی تر شدن زمان گرم شدن محلول و نداشتن پرت حرارتی  و هضم در دمای بالاتر انجام گيرند و یا براي استفاده همزمان از چند محلول مختلف جهت مقايسه يا آزمايش همزمان از دستگاه چند خانه اي شوف بالن استفاده ميگردد.
